Dr. James D. (Jim) Chamberlain is a graduate of Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, having received a Doctor of Optometry degree. He has been in the private practice of Optometry for approximately thirty years. Before attending Southern College of Optometry, he attended Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, where he majored in Biological Science.
Dr. Chamberlain began his professional career in Orange Park, Florida in 1979. His professional experience and background includes group practice, solo practice, staff optometrist for a surgical ophthalmology practice, and eye care in a Third World setting. He specializes in primary family eye care, with extensive experience in contact lenses, as well as, diagnosis and treatment of eye ailments and diseases..
He spent two years in Moscow, Russian, where he operated a humanitarian eye clinic outside Moscow in the Kaluga Region. He was instrumental in providing western-style examination equipment for the clinic and for the local hospital in Maloyaroslavets, Russia. His travels have also taken him to Haiti, the Philippines and Central America where he has led numerous short-term mission projects.
Dr. Chamberlain founded and operates CW Vision, Inc, a local non-profit organization that provides free eye care and eyeglasses for those living in poverty in the Nassau County, Florida area. He has been recognized for his involvement in the community and overseas.
Today, Dr. Chamberlain practices at Eye Envy Optical located at 1523 Sadler Road in Fernandina Beach, Florida. He and his wife, Anita, have been married forty-one years and have two adult children and three grandsons living in Yulee, Florida. Dr. Chamberlain enjoys the outdoors, with golfing and hiking being his main activities outside of work. He is also recognized as being the #1 “playmate” for his grandsons, Chase, Landon and Cooper.
Dr. Bradley joins our team as an independent optometrist after being in a private practice in rural Kentucky for 5 years. She graduated with honors from University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry in 2011. During her time at UMSL she was selected as a Carl Zeiss Vision Fellow as well as Outstanding Low Vision Clinician. Dr. Bradley is Board Certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Optometry, a Certified Optometrist in Florida and was fully credentialed in Kentucky having achieved her Expanded Therapeutic Certification. Dr. Bradley practices full scope optometry but her passions include pediatric exams and complicated contact lens fits. Dr. Bradley's professional associations include the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association and the Kentucky Optometric Association where she previously served as President of the Kentucky Vision Project. Dr. Bradley received the distinct honor of being named one of “American’s Top Optometrist” in 2014-2016 by the Consumers' Research Council of America. Dr. Bradley is a self-admitted foodie who enjoys scuba diving and currently taking lesions to be a private pilot.
Jan Nabors, a Board Certified Licensed Optician is a lifelong Nassau County local that grew up in the family eye business. The daughter and sister of local Optometrists and Grandaughter of a local Public Health Doctor, she enjoys the beach, boating, walking her dogs, and spending time with her son. Jan represents the very best in opticianry and provides our patients and customers with excellent care and assistance in choosing the right frames and lenses.
